VCU School of Nursing rises among top nursing graduate programs nationwide
The VCU School of Nursing rose sharply in the nation’s best nursing graduate programs rankings released today by U.S. News and World Report.
The school’s master’s program rose to No. 33 in the nation after previously being listed at No. 53. VCU’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, already listed in the top 50, climbed to No. 37 after being ranked No. 44 previously.
Rankings are based on expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students.
“We’re proud to continue elevating our master’s and DNP programs to be among the nation’s best,” said Jean Giddens, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, professor and dean of the VCU School of Nursing. “This recognition demonstrates the high quality of our programs and the great work being done by our faculty and students.”
VCU also had several other master’s programs ranked in the top 50 in the latest rankings. To view this year’s full list of nursing graduate program rankings, visit https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-nursing-schools
