Did You Know?

Student Emergency Fund

Students with unforeseen financial emergencies that prevent them from continuing pursuing their degree may be eligible to receive financial support from the School of Nursing Student Emergency Fund. If you are a current student and experience an unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable emergency expense related to an accident, illness, death of a family member, fire damage, or need for temporary housing, contact Lindsay F. Tierney, Ed.D., student success coach, at farrishlk@vcu.edu for additional information.

Background Check and Drug Screen

All VCU School of Nursing students are required to complete a criminal background check and drug screen prior to the start of clinical coursework. Upon admission to the program, you receive detailed information from the Office of Student Success explaining how and when to accomplish these tasks using our vendor, Castlebranch. Contact your advisor for questions.
