Research/Scholarship Interests

Genevieve Beaird has a research and scholarship interest in the area of interprofessional education and collaborative care practice models. She also has a focus on how models of care coordination for complex care patients have an impact on patient and system outcomes.

Area of Current Clinical Practice

Beaird holds a practice role with VCU Health as a nurse care coordinator at VCU Health Hub at 25th in conjunction with the VCU Mobile Health and Wellness Program.

Teaching

Beaird has taught across numerous courses in the undergraduate program at the School of Nursing as well as courses offered through the Center for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care. Additionally, she designed and leads a course offered as part of VCU's general education curriculum. She has experience as a clinical faculty in both hospital and community-based settings. She has served as lead faculty for online, hybrid-format and classroom-based courses. Beaird has served in other teaching roles to include clinical coordinator for multiple undergraduate clinical courses as well as lead faculty for large interprofessional education courses.

Professional Service

Beaird has had the opportunity to serve on multiple school and university committees to include the undergraduate program committee, steering, nominations as well as other committees across the university such as faculty senate and the general education curriculum committee.
