TEACHING:
RESEARCH:
My scholarship interests include enhanced care of older adults in community-based settings. Through my involvement with the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program grant, I work on the development and implementation of gerontology-focused curriculum to translate into interprofessional practice. I also provide curricular development of care coordination and interprofessional educational strategies with a focus on quality improvement. In my role as clinical coordinator for community health nursing clinical placements, I am working to enhance the role of the registered nurse in the primary care setting.
SERVICE:
I serve on the School of Nursing's Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, Evaluation Subcommittee, and Grievance Committee. Additionally, I am an appointed member of the University Undergraduate Curriculum. I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Gamma Omega chapter. I provide mentorship for faculty enrolled in the Virginia Geriatric Education Center's Faculty Development Program.
