Walk-In Hours 

Beginning Tuesday, August 20th the School of Nursing will offer walk-in hours. Prospective students can meet one-on-one with admissions staff. Walk-in hours are held on the following days and times: 

  • Tuesday from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
  • Wednesday from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Thursday from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM

General Session and Tour 

 Admissions staff present a general overview of the various programs. A tour of the School of Nursing follows. Below are the dates for the general sessions for the fall semester: 

  • August 30th from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM

Secure your spot and register here. Registration will close at noon the day prior to the start of the session. 

Fall Open House: Calling all Prospective Students! 

Learn about our programs, meet with faculty and staff, and tour the school. This is an event you don’t want to miss!  

  • October 17th from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

Information Sessions

Traditional B.S. Nursing Program

Thinking about applying to the Traditional B.S. Nursing Program? The Traditional Program information sessions begin Tuesday, November 5th and are held every Tuesday at 11:00 AM EST. Information sessions are offered online or in-person. You are strongly encouraged to attend an information session!

RN to B.S. Nursing Program

Register today to join the Academic Advisor for an online information session to learn about the program. The RN to B.S. Nursing Program is for licensed RNs with an associate's degree who seek to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing. You must be in progress or have already earned your RN License to be eligible for the RN to B.S. program. 

The Academic Advisor provides an overview of the RN to BS Program and discusses the application process. We offer several cohorts options. 

  • Regular RN to BS option. 
  • Guaranteed admission for VCCS graduates who meet certain requirements. 
  • Co-Enrollment options for RCC and SVCC.
  • HCA Special Cohort for nurses employed at an HCA facility.
