Eight researchers and faculty members from VCU’s health sciences schools—including two from the School of Nursing, Lana Sargent, Ph.D. (second from left) and Amy Salisbury, Ph.D. (second from right)—joined in September's Rally for Medical Research in Washington to highlight the importance of federal funding for the National Institutes of Health.

A construction crew completes the final installation of VCU's newest "front door" outside Cabaniss Hall. One of several landmarks marking the edges of VCU's two Richmond campuses, it is designed to enhance the university's visibility and create a welcoming presence for passersby.
