Meet a Researcher: Amy Salisbury, Ph.D., RN, FAAN
April 2, 2025

In anticipation of the school's Research Weeks showcase on April 3, we’re highlighting the innovative nurse scientists who are driving transformative change in health care through their groundbreaking research.
Meet Amy Salisbury, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, a nurse researcher and expert in maternal and fetal health, who is leveraging ultrasound technology to connect pregnant women at risk for substance use disorder with essential prenatal care. By taking this care directly to the communities where it’s needed, Salisbury aims to improve both maternal and fetal health outcomes in populations that may otherwise face barriers to care.
Her research focuses on providing early intervention and personalized support in a way that is accessible and tailored to the needs of at-risk women. Salisbury’s work is helping ensure that these women and their babies receive the care they need, when they need it, in an approach that is showing positive results. Learn more about Salisbury's pioneering efforts and how she is reshaping prenatal care for women and babies affected by substance use disorders.
