Bio

Chrissy Bowdren has spent over 14 years working in alumni engagement, helping to connect alumni with their universities and with each other. Before coming to VCU, Chrissy was the senior associate director of alumni engagement at the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked with alumni from the College of Arts & Sciences. Prior to that, she spent five years at Drexel University, managing shared interest groups and regional alumni programs, with a focus on cultural, religious, and identity-based communities. Bowdren's career in alumni relations started at her alma mater, the University of Mary Washington, where she served in various roles, including assistant director of alumni relations and associate director of alumni programs.

Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with her wife and two kids, Avery and Parker. She also enjoys watching the Eagles (Go BIRDS!) and woodworking.
