Research/Scholarship Interests
Hollins’ research interests focus on developing nursing interventions that enhance generational communication about the risk and management of Huntington’s Disease, a hereditary neurodegenerative disorder. She is also interested in exploring strategies to improve nursing care for behavioral and mental health symptoms in Huntington’s Disease patients residing in long-term care facilities.
Teaching
Hollins teaches courses in the undergraduate program with a focus on family and community care, adult acute care, and simulation.

Hollins is a member of the Sigma Chi Kappa and the Virginia Nurses Association.
