Bio

Fonda Neal is the graduate programs coordinator at VCU School of Nursing. She has more than 20 years of experience at VCU in supporting graduate students and programs. She assists the faculty at the School of Nursing in meeting the objectives of the graduate programs, managing the logistics related to the NEXus consortium, the graduate teaching assistantship program, the Nurse Faculty Loan program other funding opportunities. She supports the graduate program committees, including managing course, curricular and non-curricular bulletin updates, as well as syllabi maintenance. Neal, who is also a 2023 alum of the VCU Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute's Higher Ground Women's Leadership Development Program, excels in providing academic guidance and advisement to students, faculty and staff on policies, procedures and program requirements. In her spare time, she enjoys music, houseplants, outdoor container gardening, reading non-fiction, learning about natural health and wellness and spending time with friends and family.
