Teaching

Roberts is currently a full-time faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University. She teaches various courses in both graduate and undergraduate studies. Her previous teaching experience has also been at VCU as an adjunct faculty member. She also has vast experience precepting at both the RN and APRN level. In a previous FNP position she was the director of the Fellowship Program specifically working with new graduate nurse practitioners and physician assistants to transition to practice and on board them as providers.

Professional Service

Roberts is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. Upon completion of her graduate studies, she was inducted into the nursing honors society, Sigma Theta Tau and is a current member. 

She holds an active license as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a background in emergency/urgent care settings. She is an active member of the VCU Faculty Practice Plan working in a VCU Complex Care Unit. Additionally, she is a volunteer of the VA Dept of Health Medical Reserve Corp.
